Amy Whitehurst

Hi, my name is Amy Whitehurst and I am a student of Mr. Townely's AP Art History class!

 

I am a senior in high school and currently busy with college preparation! I am not sure which college I'd like to attend yet, but I am interested in majoring in either special needs, or communications sciences and disorders with a specialty in speech and language pathology.

 

I took this course because I was never really interested in art until the Europe trip I took spring break of my sophomore year. Seeing museums such as the Salvador Dali Museum in Spain, The Louvre in Paris, and my personal favorite, the Musee Dorse, opened my eyes to the world of art and gave me an entirely new appreciation for it. After the trip, I was excited to learn that I could take this course at my high school and not only earn college credit, but learn about something that interested me as well!
