  • This tomb was named for the beasts that guard the interior of the painted chamber from their perch within the rear wall pediment. Greek of Etruscan murals normally do not contain any mythological creatures, which this one does not.

  • I personally chose this image because the detail in each of the scenes painted on the walls surprised me.
